The MNVS (Byculla, Mumbai) is undertaking an unique program for the school going children.

Veer Jijamata Prani Sangrahalaya (Zoo), fondly known as “Ranicha Baug” is located at Byculla but the children of this locality have rarely got a chance to visit this place. MNVS, under the guidance of local MLA Shri. Bala Nandgaokar & MNVS President Shri. Aditya Rajan Shirodkar, have organised picnics for school children into the zoo to give them a glimpse of the greenery, wild life & increase their general knowledge by taking them to the famous Bhau Daji Lad Museum.

Be it the locks out of the mills in Mumbai or the recession period, children are the first to suffer off it. The childhood is lost in the chaos of this huge city. MNVS is trying to give a time out to the students in this busy schedule of life & bring a smile on the innocent faces.
This event is scheduled for March 8 2009
Please contact Shri. Amol Rogye (Vibhag Adhyaksha-MNVS, Byculla) on 9867712389 for further details.

MNVS received encouragement from success of programmes concerning future of youth such as BALL DANCE & FOCUS CAREER FAIR. Honourable Shree Rajsaheb Thackrey appealed to the students to save Maharashtrian Culture, Marathi language and literature and not to forget the history. This appeal resulted in the splendid display of Maharashtra Dharma.

‘Maharashtra Dharma’ was inaugurated with reading of verses penned by renowned personalities which included Historian Babasaaheb Purandare and master blaster SAchin Tendulkar. Lovers of history and literature acclaimed ‘Maharashtra Dharma’ with tears in their eyes and urged that such programmes be held every year.

The display of shining swords and other weapons which forced Muslim aggressors to run helter and skelter in the Sahaydris ranges three hundred and fifty years ago was magnificent and inspiring.

The sight of replicas of forts was stunning. Nearly 110 publishers displayed books on various subjects. ‘Maharashtra Dharma’ attracted people of all ages and lakhs attended the magnificent show.

Special feature was the display of the photographs of the forts of Shivaji Maharaj, a record registered with guiness book of World Records..
